The People Behind the Work

The Team

Nina Nastasia

Nina Nastasia

Creator & Performer

Nina Nastasia is a singer-songwriter whose debut album Dogs (2000), produced by Steve Albini, earned her a devoted cult following. Her music is spare, unflinching, and deeply felt, marking her as one of alternative folk's most singular and enduring voices. Over seven albums with Albini, who counted her among his favorite artists of all time, she has built a body of work defined by uncompromising honesty and unrelenting craft. Her songs have earned comparisons to the greatest confessional songwriters of her generation, and her influence continues to surface in the work of artists who followed her.
